Iberostar Playa Paraíso Golf Club
This 18-hole world-class championship golf course is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, exotic wildlife, and archeological landmarks. It was designed by P.B. Dye and was ranked as the 7th best course in Mexico in 2012 by Golf Week Magazine. You can find this popular course in Playa Paraíso, between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, along the Riviera Maya. Par for this course is 72, and green fees include a golf cart and unlimited snacks and beverages.
Iberostar Playa Paraíso Golf Club is also the proud host of the Bupa Match Play, which is the first tournament in the history of the PGA Tour Latinoamérica to use a match-play format. This tournament closes the season and is open to the 64 best players on the Order of Merit.
El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course
The El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course was created by legendary Australian golfer, Greg Norman. It gets its name from the chameleon because this diverse course takes you through various changes, including areas of the Mayan jungle, mangrove wetlands, and the coastline. You’ll wind along several miles of fresh-water canals framed by limestone walls, dodge cenotes, and have the privilege of hitting on two holes that open up to spectacular views of the Caribbean and Cozumel Island. This favorite among Cancun golf resorts is home to the Mayakoba Golf Classic, the first PGA tour event to take place outside of the US or Canada.
Par for this course is 72, and green fees include golf carts equipped with GPS, as well as range balls before the round. Beverage cart service is also available, and professional line golf clubs can be rented in the Pro Shop.
To fully experience El Camaleón, try out the practice area first, where you can drive, chip, and putt to get a feel for the course before you begin. You can also get an all-day pass for unlimited range balls throughout the day, or participate in one of a variety of clinics at the only Jim McLean Golf School in Latin America.
This unique course is also a sanctuary for local wildlife, and you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of iguanas, spider monkeys, or various birds and other animals. It is also located along the Riviera Maya near Cancun and Playa Del Carmen and can be found inside the Mayakoba Resort Complex.
Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya
Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya is a picturesque 18-hole course with a par of 72. It is located in Playa Del Carmen’s Hotel Zone in the popular resort area of Playacar and is near fantastic restaurants like the well-known 5th Avenue. This course was designed in 1994 by Robert Van Hagge, with a premium driving range in the practice area, and a large putting green for chipping and pitching. There is also an open area for parties and other social events, as well as a bar and grill.
Your green reservation includes a shared golf cart with a minimum of two players, unlimited practice balls, food and beverages, and transportation from Cancun and Riviera Maya. Reserved tee times are welcomed year-round. You can also enjoy lower rates for tee times after 1:00 in the afternoon and for golfers aged thirteen and younger.
